I always loved Twitter for the sheer convenience of sharing the weird thought flashes that my brain produces all day, every day. Not everything warrants a long form blog post. But the platform has become, in lack of a better word, toxic. I also don’t want my brain flashes exploited for marketing, although I still have to find one social media platform that shows me ads according to my interests. So – here is my personal stream of consciousness, without the strings of Social Media attached to it.
at a snail’s pace
I spent today working on re-releasing Beginnings, which has found its way into a pretty PDF and is already uploaded to the website. Now I just need to build it an equally pretty page. Let’s hope that won’t take me another year to finish. ย ๐
bulb moment
Ridiculously happy to have finally found a replacement bulb for my lava lamp ๐ก
Storm Thoughts
Got woken by a massive bang at 2:50 in the morning, and the stuff my brain thinks about while I try getting back to sleep: How do you stress the word Himalaya? ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Ding!
Thanks to a once again cancelled train, I discovered that the old trams have a really pleasant, round chime that sounds shortly before they start rolling.
Re:Receptors
Ha, actually there are people with four cones, but it took researchers 25 years to find one. Fascinating story ๐
Receptors
Things my brain ponders before we are even vertical: Are there humans with more than three colour receptors? ๐ค
GDPR
Worked all morning on the construction of a privacy policy – regulations surely take the fun out of owning a private website.
Brain dumps?
I sometimes miss Twitter, simply for quickly getting something off my brain.
